Watched 3 musicals in London! Although they are cheaper than usually if u watch in Esplanade, but it is still expensive! ok, i juz cant leave out the money stuff at London.. boo, although i still paid lar.. Well, it was well worth the experience for the barbarian I am... I am beginning to appreciate musicals, woohoo!

Day1. Wicked (SGD$75)

Day2. Les Miserables (SGD$60)

Day3. Phantom of the Opera (SGD $96)

Wicked is a fairly new musical and I tot it was nice... but I havent become a fan of it unlike Linus and Stella, who are totally addicted to it.. lol... Les Miserables was a classic, but a little miserable for me as well coz I cant understand wat it is talking about! Phantom needless to say, is the longest running musical in London.. 22yrs if I'm not wrong... thats like... wow.. At least it is simple to understand =)

Here's the delicious duck rice I was talking about... 5 Pounds, $15SGD! 4Seasons is the HK restaurant name. All thanks to Teckyong's persistant recommendation that me and Linus haf to give it a try... it was really gd and filling but what can u expect from $15??! lol, lucky it was really good, if not I will kill ppl...

The famous Ferris Wheel in London, world biggest so far... And it is really really big... and of coz, we went up there... that costs us 13Pounds (SGD$39) for a 30min Ferris Wheel... Crazy! really pocket broken by the 3days we went London... & this is juz the start of Easter trip... Btw, heard there is goin to be a Singapore Eye as well at the Integrated resort and it is going to be bigger than London.. woo!

You mus be thinking, what has this gotta do with London... I haven't eaten KFC for 4months! Woohoo... it cost 10SGD though... and not nice as SG... wat a disappointment.. nevertheless, got to eat fried chicken finally.. Swedish ppl hate fried chicken... They don't noe what they are missin out on... =p

1st Stop of Easter Trip: London

Everyone knows London of Europe... Of coz, it has to be one of the most happening cities in Europe.. but this is what I noe of London after I went:

1) Things are freaking ex! 1 Pound = 3SGD$
2) Musicals are abundant! yet Original..
3) Things are juz like Singapore.. shops
4) 5 Pounds (SGD$15) duck rice is Yummy but pocket-unfriendly
5) London bridge is not nice... its the Tower bridge that is...

Yeah, we went to Shen Nan (NTU gal from China, also exchange this semester) 's hostel for a sports session and dinner finally last sunday... She'll be leaving end of May so we figured out we shd gather for some gd food. Her hostel was soo good... in terms of facilities, which left me cursing why our apartment doesnt haf a sports hall where we can book.. There's an MPH where you can play bball, or watever sports in it and there's also a sauna where u can use in her hostel.. Soo gd.. Ours has nothing! well.. we saved alot on accomodation by sharing so I shan't complain too much except bout blaming the hostel for causing my fat tummy...

So, we started by played bball, after which me and Linus played little of soccer, then floorball where the gals started playing some badminton with traditional wooden rackets that were found =) so fun... After that, food comes! Shen Nan cooked us some traditional chinese food (mei cai soup and tomato egg) and we had a fusion with big bbq drumstick as well.. it was really filling! and ends up a nice gathering!

Billiard / Pool and beer party.... Vinc and Veron were kind enuff to invite us to their apartment, where they invited lots of ppl and booked the billiard (actually pool) and organized a pool competition with loads of beers.. Of coz, few of us were too lousy to win the competition, but we had fun nevertheless... We were more interested in the food though... =p typical asians... brownies made by Veron was superb... and lots of chips, drinks, beers... blah... shant get too carried away... This could be our last party before we leave Gothenburg, so sad...

Been playing basketball for these past few days! Cool... Haben been exercising for like... 5 plus months! crap... no wonder my tummy is getting bigger and bigger... and the worst thing is my whole body ache like hell after the first bball session! really weak... But.. it was so cool to exercise and be able to be out and not sweaty at all! Its spring... but a cold 1 indeed... Average temperature here is like 10-17 degrees since the start of spring.. its really gd weather!

this figurine is so cute... I've no idea what it is but its in my sch... walked past it so many times that I finally decided I shd haf a pic with it... after exercising! well, i'm not sweaty at least...

Figured out that I'm never going to finish my blogging about travels on time... theres still so so much... well, its 10 days before I'm going to leave Gothenburg and my temporary 2nd home (hostel)... kinda sad... but well... its the start of the summer trip! how could I let myself be sad... I'll still be in Europe afterall...

Not prepared for my only one paper at all, exam is so sian... and I cant even finish my lab work... Partner got lost! this sux... but I cant be bothered already also...

That was at Dresden... some part of Germany little known to ppl... figured that its very nice actually... lots of tourists when we were there...

Stopover at Stuggart... Had about half a day and we went to the newly built Mercedes Benz Museum.. It was really huge and displayed everything about Mercedes and its history... well worth the 4Euros... The rest of the time, we strolled ard.. visited the football stadium of VFB Stuggart.. wasted we din haf a chance to go in... The team won the German league championship this season!

First stop.. Frankfurt! Full of skyscapers as seen... No wonder its the top business district / city in Europe.. People busy everywhere, fast pace of life... Of coz, lunch breaks and wine drinking cannot be forgotten. Tried this mushroom rice which is 4Euros! damn exp.. but its very nice and a glass of sparkling wine 2 Euros to come with it... I almos fainted after drinking 5 sips... blame my lousy body cannot take alcohol... Poor Linus had to finish it for me and scratch for a day or so.. alcohol allergic as well.. =)

Germany... hmm... what can I say... after I had visited 8 of its cities in a short span

1) A flat country with not much mountains and landscape...

2) Cheap beers and wines... (as above)

3) Nice place, people do speak good english i felt

4) Quite a high class place, efficient

5) High tech trains, love the ICE! (Intercity-Express)

6) Alot of nice monuments and buildings

7) Nice football stadiums!

This is the uber burger we had sometime ago... Plus a delicious "Hemkop" drumstick.. this meal is really damn feeling. We had quite a few times of those... Cannot imagine my own appetite... Looks like I need to shed some weight... *hmm, the point is when will i do so*...

Oops, I forgetten I went skiing that time.. It was fun! Fun falling down... No, I din skiied down this slope behind me, but another more gentle 1... well, it was still hell and me and linus took half an hr jus to ski down the slope... And our envious eyes were fixed on small little kids (ard 6yrs old) zooming past us as though it was chicken feet. Yes, indeed it was chicken feet for them.. SO ashamed...

Well, I skiied before many years back in Korea... but that was on fake snow... This one was more real and less touristy... Enjoyed the afternoon there... but it was really cold when we made our way back that we had to plead to the train conductor to let us take an earlier train back home.. =)

Juz in case where is Europe and where is this where is that.. Look at this map! Dun be shy.. I haven't got any idea where is Gothenburg at all before I came... =)

The Ice Bar in the Ice Hotel... Arn't we cool?? Except we lack of some drinks in Ice glasses... too exp, so din buy...

Abit way off bloggin still... back in Feb Kiruna Trip...

Ice hotel in the artic... Not like I imagined, it cant be everything ice of course. Reception pens are not ice, books are not, blah.. I'm just abit sua ku, neverthless... parts of the hotel is really made of ice.. The ice rooms are so cool... and very exp to stay as well!! It could cost up to 1000SGD to stay in the Ice-carved suite for a night... who the hell would do that??! for a hell of an ice-cold experience, some might =p we managed to visit all the rooms, take photos as much as possible, kiasu mah.. as they only close at evening to accomodate real guests.. Look at the pics.. COol!

Cannot take it.. she's so cute! act very damn well as well... "Ju Yoo-Rin" in My Girl.. still rings in my mind even though I'm watchin a new show..

Back to usuals... dramas, work, projects, sch before this sem ends... No more travels in May.. Time flies huh, and in no time i'll be off to Europe in June to spend my last cash... and back to Singapore, my home!

Superb romantic comedy, korean drama! So so nice... This is my only escape from tons of projects, assignments, tests, and all sorts of problems like visa, tour planning, luggage, accomodation.. Recommended 100%, "My Girl"

Never knew what is this until Yz and Junli taught... Snow Angel... Does this look like an angel?? More like a devil in me rite? =p (Warning: 20cm snow thickness to try)

Amt of snow seen is confirm the most in this lifetime...

Noe whats the feeling like doing this?? Lying on the snow and looking into the clear blue sky... Its around the same doing that in meadow grassland... juz that snow is a little more fun! A hell of an experience, once in a lifetime indeed... Never regretted being here, at -20degrees...

Staying in the wild... you will never find this place unless you are the owner... Into some trees and thats it, the hideout! This is so cool.... and we stayed in some lappish hut. It was cold and we had to start our own fire! really camping out in the snow wilderness...

The Kiruna Trip during February was fabulous.. Once in a lifetime experience... -20degrees out in the wild camping, watchin northern lights, witness hotel built from ice... and 22hrs sitting on the train up north of Sweden and another 22hrs back... wat could beat that??

I'm back! from Scotland... Glad that the Loch Ness Monster (name, Nessie) didnt eat me up and I'm back in one piece.. but there's still a stinge of itchness in me... argh.. wat stupid allergy is this.. so irritating.. Hope I get well soon.. the most terrible of illness to me...

So many things to settle now that I'm back...

1) Projects and assignments, tons of them..
2) June summer trip plan
3) Luggage storage in June, trouble..
4) Re-exam schedule
5) HYP, to do or not and not much choices left..
6) catch up with studies and readings here
7) Last glimpse of Goteborg before I leave in a month

Oh no, where has my relaxed mood gone? Guess SEP is finishing soon and its time to get back and serious...

Crappy day... had to wake up early for school after a sleepless night yet again.. Already 4 consective nites with my non-stop itching toopid idotic body...

During lunch break, I tried to go to the student centre to ask if theres a doctor in sch or sth.. the person told me, the student health centre is near the city and gave me a note to the address and asked me to call tml since its closed for telephone appointments with the centre.

After sch at 3pm, I decided I cannot tahan anymore and should see a doc. So I went down to the pharmacy-like clinic to ask for a doc. Okie, theres no doctor there and the person suggests I should go down to one of the 2places. So I got a 2nd piece of note.. So I went to the one nearer to school, still a 15min walk..

Next, I reached. The receptionist asked me "Issit emergency?" I had to say no reluctantly.. "then u cant see the doc, he's fully booked" argh.. so I tried to ask for a booking for tomorrow hopefully... and she asked where I stay... so I told her, "blah blah". Then she stopped, "oh, sorry. U belong to other region which has the same type of clinic there. Something like polyclinic stuff.. ARGH! so ma fan.. so i had to call up "my region" clinic tomorrow to make an appointment as well. Closed for the day.. I got a 3rd piece of note stating the address and telephone yet again.. No choice, i walked back hostel.. tough..

back hostel, still damn itchy.. had to try my luck at the other place told. Near the city centre.. so I had to take tram down... Finally found. Okie, finally i see a polyclinic look alike. The one and only who takes in walk-in patient. Pressed for a queue number.. to my horror, its 30+ from the queue, theres not so many ppl like in SG polyclinics but still so long..

so.. wait and wait and wait.. 2hrs gone by.. luckily I had my hp with me to play TEnnis java game.. the ultimate boliao resort already.. finally it rings, and its my turn... Hiew..

Went up to the receptionist:
Me: I will like to see a doctor pls
Her: okie, can I have your identity or sth card..
Me: sure, gladly gave all my cards with my face..
Her: Hmm...
Me: Er...
Her: Do u haf a swedish person number? *looking at my cards*
Me: Oh, nope.. I'm a student here, not resident though..
Her: Oh, then I'm afraid you have to pay 1050kr (SGD$230) to see the doctor
Me: What?? 1050?? I just wanted to consult a doctor..
Her: Yeah, you have to pay at here at registration first since you are not Swedish..
Me: (thinking.. should I pay??)
Her: Do you have some form of insurance back home?
Me: Yeah... (but its still I have to pay $100 myself)
Her: So?
Me: Er.. is there other places where I can see the doctor cheaper or sth?
Her: I'm afraid its the same everywhere..
Me: (argh.. the itch is killing me) okok, I think I'll pay...
Me: Btw, how long must I wait to see the doctor?
Her: Er, it could be ranging from 3hrs to 4hrs..
Me: (........... frm afternoon to dinner time I've been here)
Her: So you want to pay now?
Me: I think I'll give it a miss and try the student health centre tml..


That summarises my day...
Juz a tot: I missed Singapore, I missed GPs, clinics (although I hate to see them when needed)

Where on Earth can I find a doctor to see me just for a few minutes then here in this foreign land???

Its from this "Wheel of Fortune" thingy... There is 20 set of 5 numbers ranging from 1-99.. so one places a bet of 20kr(4.50SGD) on 1 set of 5numbers.. if u get lucky.. one HUGE tolberone is Urs!! its damn hard to get lar...

Fireworks happening in the day! Seen before?? Nah, its already 9pm on Liseberg's opening day. But as usual here in Spring, the day is so so long and it only gets dark around 9.40pm... Wat a waste of fireworks, else it would be so nice...

Had fun at Liseberg yesterday, 30th April... Despite the expensive ticket, we (Pearline, Linus and me) fully made use of it... and we sat our worth of thrill rides, wet rides, kiddy rides, exhilarating!!

Haven't been to an amusement park for a long time, except HK Disneyland last July... Singapore Escape is never considered 1 thou...
