A hole in the clouds?

Happened to see this as well on the viewing tower... Cool huh... A hole in the clouds...

On top at Dublin!

This is the top of the brewery which has a viewing tower... Tiger Beer doesnt have that for SG... thats the bonus. You will be shocked that its only at the 7th floor! And I can see almos the whole city of Dublin! Wah.... land is really free! no really tall buildings except a chimney (which is also around 7+ floors high!)

yeah, I get to leave something in the brewery... lol, nothing great though... juz a card to write anything.. can see mine? Lol, as if can see.. I bet they throw these away everyday... if not, one day u visit Dublin it may be still there! I wish!

I went to taste Guinness... it was okayy, not as bad and bitter as I thought it would be... sinces its black...

Guinness originated from Dublin, Ireland.. I din noe that until then... lol... anyway just a normal factory self-tour at the brewery where u see how they make, all the ingredients and stuff... Go Tiger beer and see for urself =p

An plane flew past... Woo.. I like this pic... Dublin castle is huge... took a commented and guided tour into the castle. Theres even an underground , some remains left of the orginal castle, amazing! hundreds of years old... oh yeah, Dublin is somehow historical... so many museums so much history!

Back from Kiruna

Back from the artic circle.... went up to the very north of Sweden, Kiruna town... a crazy 22hr train ride to and back... a tour into the wilderness where all was snow and faint northern lights to see... Woo! And a Chinese New Year spent abroad with frens... Happy CNY!

Day in Dublin

We started off with visiting the so called exciting attraction, the Bram Stokers Dracula Experience... buttt it was such a disappointment... I tot we are in for a ride or something in a coffin while there would be scary vampires, bats, mummies, watever popping out to scare us.... Bleah... turn out its just a walk to view the vampires statues all these... wat a spoiler, and its not near the Dublin city centre... Instead of it locating in a "castle-like" structure i had thought, it was inside this game arcade above a bar... 8 euros for this so called famous attraction, crap! luckily we din haf to pay... *oh well, we already paid for the exp Dublin pass, which has no transport included with it...*

Enroute to Dublin

Another 2hrs bus back to Dublin... Me and Linus bought the Dublin Pass... so our resolution is to get the most out of it.. *it cost 50euro!* so we try to go every place that it provides us with either free admission or free gifts! starting of a chiongin tour... we rush to every possible place with our day... most attractions open 10-5pm onli... urgh... where got enuff time... Dublin City Hall is the above pic.. does it look like a post card? lol... okie... i'm thick skinned enuff to say "YES"

Belfast in a Day

Okie, on the whole, I tot Belfast was a small city, you actually can walk from one end to the other end... after a long while that is... It seems like a tranquil city, so peaceful... perhaps its winter and wkend that we visited it, thats why every1 was hiding at their homes... Oh, ppl there are quite frenly man... we met a few that asked us "Are you lost? Do you need help?" lol... okie, its too small to get lost la... but we really appreciate that...

Too bad we didnt plan much time here... what we could do is tour around the city only... i heard the outskirts are nice lar.. there are some great rocks, mountain and sea at the very north of Northern Ireland, forgot called wat... too bad, that will need a day tour, which we dun haf the time... also there's this CS Lewis trail... outskirts too... for those who like me, noob dunno who's that at first, its the author who wrote Narnia... I saw a broshure showing the famous "cupboard"! Wonder if you can get inside... Gif it a try when u come Belfast... *hmm, I sound like the tourism board*

Did you know?

Did you know that RMS Titanic sailed from here, in Belfast? Although it did sink, it was still the pride of Belfast... thats why, they had this Titanic trail for the tourists to explore around... but cant see Titanic at all... how to imagine how big it was?? There on the pic is Linus doing the 'Titanic Stunt'...

This is the Belfast icon... made up of metal strips.. thats wat i think la... quite nice though.. nicer at nite as it lights up

Castle? Cathedral? Nah

Looks like a cool castle or cathedral huh... Nah, look closely.. its a shopping centre! faintz... we went inside, to our disappointment.. not much shops inside or really nothing much at all... wat a waste of such a nice architecture! Well, guess they have too much of those here...

Belfast

2hrs bus ride from Dublin to Belfast, Northern Ireland.. Not that bad lar, considering crossing a border... The only border we can cross in Singapore is the causeway -_- nope, this border has no bridge or what... its just the same piece of land with an 'invisible' line to the travellers.. Belfast City Hall... All buildings in Europe are made up of such complexity... Why mus build til lydat ar... Surely that takes a long time... but its nice la!

Flying in the skies

The sky is so nice... Look! A two hrs flight to Dublin from Gothenburg.. and I happen to sit near the wings... RyanAir is the flight I took.. I would say its budget and not bad... could be my fav airline for these 6mths I'm here in Europe =) Too bad there's no frequent flyer program for this...

hmm... guess when i'll be up-to-date

lol.. guess when i'll be up to date for this blog... still got tons to write but no time! have to do lab work and assignment... oh that sux...

but i cant complain... coz I'll be off to Kiruna (the artic circle) at very northern part of Sweden for CNY! woo... 6 of us can probably do ice fishing and cook our own steamboat.... bleah =) this is probably the 1st time I haven't spend the CNY with my family and relatives... weird feeling...

Yo! the first travelling place... Dublin of Ireland & Belfast of Northern Ireland.... nope, they are not the same country that is why I separated them for mention...

At Gothenburg city aiport waiting for my flight.... woot... This really dun look like an airport... U will be shocked... there are only a few counters and abundant field space... thats all! =)
